After years of listening to my teacher adventures, my husband, Ken, said I need to start writing them down and sharing them. He believes that through my story (or a few of my stories) I might have some of the answers that teachers are searching for to rediscover the joy in their classrooms.
I am not sure if this was because he was tired of hearing my stories or he really thought the lessons would be helpful to others. I am going to be optimistic and believe the latter. As my book comes together, I will send out small sections and would love to know what you think.
Finding the magic of teaching again is the most important task our society has. Only through positive and creative learning environments can we nurture the learning our kids need to succeed. Our most important resources - our kids, tomorrow’s future - are at risk.
Our goal is to provide relevant and helpful support to you, the teachers. So let us know how we can help. (besides raising salaries and adding an extra 24 hours to the day.) What are your burning questions?
I hope we can start this journey together, this journey of teaching our children to think and learn.

Elsie Moses-Hoeg PhD. is an educator and researcher. She has developed the daVinci Thinking Model based on her own research. The daVinci model teaches kids how to demystify the thinking process, embrace the dis-equilibrium of learning new concepts, and begin to navigate their own learning. They then will have the skills to become independent, empowered and life-long learners.
